about

"...I frantically scan the horizon for the person who was peering into the workshop…but I see no one…I lift my gaze to a city I see on the horizon…the view of the city, from that exact spot, seems so familiar…I smell smoke coming from a small, abandoned campsite at the base of the hill and I consider going down there to look around for clues, but I realize that I have no shirt, no shoes, and the terrain seems a bit harsh…so, I head back inside the old busted and battered factory I awoke within…the windows have been cracked and bleached by the harsh sun…the panels of tin are rusted beyond repair…luscious green vines strangle the crumbling bricks that still desperately cling to the buckling steel supports erected…As I enter the room, I walk to the sink so that I can splash some water in my face and wash the blood and puss from my wounds, but I stop when something catches my eye within the bookshelf against the wall…I lean in to read the titles of each book…it’s a broad collection of books I’ve read; I reach for “Sphere” when two journals fall to the floor…they’re identical in every way, only one is much more aged than the other…I slowly begin to thumb each of the journals and it become obvious that both seem to have the same handwriting…the author’s handwritten notes, diagrams, schematics, and raw data speckle their pages…"
